Tigger, the cat, traveled 300 miles hidden in the bumper of a car! Lieutenant Nick Grimmer, a Navy helicopter pilot, was driving his car to the Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose from Birmingham Airport with Tigger tucked away inside the rear bumper.
The Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose is, according to their Facebook page, the largest helicopter base in Europe and Nick flies submarine-hunting Merlin helicopters for the unit.
The day after the long drive, Nick heard a soft meow coming from somewhere in his car he went to see if he could find the source.
He checked all over the car and didn’t see anything. Nick asked some air engineers to help him – they started to dismantle his car!
Seems like a win-win for Tigger, if his family isn’t found, he will be able to stay where he is as a member of the Royal Navy’s Flying Tigers of Culdrose!
