Train Conductor Hears A Cry, Finds Trapped Cat In The Engine Deck

Cats are renowned for finding unconventional places to take a nap. This curious cat may have found the worst place to lay his head; the engine of a train.

When train conductor Brad Slater began his routine safety check, he could never have expected to find a cat stowing away within the train.

Although it appeared the cat may not have been fair-evading, but was actually stuck in the engine deck of the train. Slater believes that the poor creature had been there for roughly 12 hours. Temperatures under the traveling train can reach as low as -40, making it a real miracle that this cat survived.

Suffering a bout of frostbite from his adventure, the train workers nicknamed him Q-199 after the train he traveled on. While the train had left Winnipeg for Edmonton on Sunday, it is unknown when and from where Q joined the convoy.

Q was very lucky to recover from his ordeal, undoubtedly thanks to Brad who not only found him but feed him and took him to the vet to get the all clear.

Brad guessed correctly that Q was a house cat with owners he’d left behind. Q’s owners reached out after they saw Brad and Q, real name Tiger, on the news.

Tiger’s owners Brent and Lynnette Hain are now traveling the same long route to reunite with their adventurous feline.
