A kitten made a trip across four states under the hood of a pickup truck Monday.
The driver found her after he stopped at a gas station in Virginia. He then realized it was the same kitten he had seen at his Fort Drum, NY home, about 600 miles away.
Apparently, the cat was in the engine all along.
“He was just sitting down here around the air box area, just on top of the master cylinder, near the brake reservoir,” said Lance Gallimore, the driver. “Me and her wrestled for a minute, but then we were able to get her into a cardboard box, and we brought her here to the emergency vet.”
The kitten was dehydrated and had a few scratches. Gallimore said the the kitten found a new home after one of his family members adopted her.
